Job Description

Our client is a first class well-regarded investment bank with an unparalleled reputation and a strong footprint across Financial Services industry around the globe. A unique and rare opportunity has arisen to hire a top tier Employee Relations professional of the highest calibre to join their regional HR team in Hong Kong. This is a senior and critical position for the company and poses exciting challenges and opportunities for the successful candidate.

Reporting into the APAC Head of ER, this position will have responsibility for developing and running the ER Function across all businesses in HK. Specifically, your responsibilities will include building the ER framework, managing the functions of HR Risk & Compliance to ensure policies and procedures are implemented consistently, as well as acting as the HR focal point for ER by collaborating with internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will also partner with the HRBPs to advise the business in the understanding, ownership and application of all aspects of employment legislation, procedural compliance and best practices.

To qualify, you will be a passionate degree-educated HR professional with a stable track record within Employee Relations roles in multinational organisations. An understanding of APAC employment law and policy frameworks, local ordinance and HR processes is crucial. You will have strong interpersonal, presentation and influencing skills. Ideally you will exercise sound judgment and interpersonal skills, understanding the need for total discretion, professionalism and confidentiality, when handling often sensitive cases. Above all you must be highly motivated, energetic and enthusiastic with a strong team-player mentality and the gravitas and confidence to work within a challenging environment. Excellent English is a prerequisite.
