The company takes pride in ensuring an optimized end-to-end supply chain and trade compliance management to achieve maximized customer satisfaction in Asia and beyond.

They are currently on an active lookout for a suitable candidate as Senior Manager, Global Trade Compliance. He/she will be the critical point of contact in terms of ensuring proper development and optimized implementation of APAC trade compliance activities aligned with global trade strategies.

Reporting to the Global Trade Compliance Head, this position will be focusing on the below:

  • Review existing trade compliance workflow and provide clear trade compliance advice on international trade activity matters
  • Subject Matter Expert to ensure the proper logistics and distribution facilitation of Strategic Goods, including that of maintenance of existing import or export trade permits and licenses, and also enabling approval of bulk export licenses
  • Conduct regular internal assessments and audits to ascertain best class trade compliance practice in the region, and ensuring proper tracking and completion of related corrective measures
  • Active partnership with global Trade Compliance and Legal teams to develop relevant Trade Compliance programs to educate internal stakeholders involved, and administer any potential non-compliance in Singapore and other markets concerned
  • Strategically involved in global process improvement projects

 

Candidate Profile
Singapore * Permanent

  • Bachelor's Degree with at least 7 - 10 years of relevant experience in managing International Trade Compliance Operations in a complex supply chain environment
  • Acquired experiences and a good understanding of USA or EU trade regulations
  • Proven track record in developing proper HS code and related Export Control classifications
  • Excellent solution-oriented mindset and to eloquently communicate new strategies to relay and/or drive process improvements across a global organisation to important stakeholders
  • Good at multitasking and comfortable with adherence to tight project timelines
  • Good understanding of SAP and equivalent ERP system is highly preferred
