  • Reporting to the Greater China Business Unit President, the Senior Finance Director, Greater China is based in Shanghai, China and is responsible for directing the financial affairs including controllership, financial planning and analysis, management reporting, financial accounting and analysis, taxation and internal control for all Mondelez businesses in Greater China.

  • As a member of the Greater China Leadership Team, this role actively participates in deliberations involving company objectives, strategies and business issues as well as in the overall management decision-making process.

  • The Senior Finance Director, Greater China is accountable for recruiting, training and Developing the next generation of leaders in the Finance Function.

The Role


  • Establishes and directs financial policies and programs
  • Provides an adequate plan for the control of operations to ensure that the Company operates with sound financial controls while Company assets and interest are properly safeguarded

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

  • Directs the development and assessment of the strategic plan, annual business plan, quarterly revised forecasts and monthly estimates
  • Ensures that an efficient and adequate financial system is in place that would facilitate the planning process and analysis of business results
  • Provides timely reporting and analysis of business results versus plans and objectives
  • Evaluates business performance (full Profit & Loss) vs. targets and delivers regular / ad hoc financial reports to provide management recommendations and the financial analytical support in the development of business proportions for the expansion of existing businesses and for new products/categories
  • Provides effectively any necessary business analysis with the value-added report for business study and decision-making

Financial Accounting:

  • Directs the financial accounting function by implementing reliable accounting systems to provide management with timely financial results of operations
  • Oversees the daily operations of the Accounting Department in recording of all current transactions i.e. Sales, Cost, Expense, Assets and Liabilities
  • Establishes an adequate transaction recording system that provides financial analysis on cost controls and support on cost improvement opportunities to ensure effective cost management, manufacturing efficiency and resource optimization

Internal Control:

  • Ensures that Company assets are properly safeguarded within the scope of accounting principles, audit standards, and government regulations
  • Ensures that auditor recommendations on internal control issues are followed and implemented


  • Directs the development and implementation of treasury management policies and programs to ensure stability of the Company's cash flow position and strength of its credit and external financing access


  • Oversees that the company is following the correct tax regulation, especially Chinese Taxes Regulation
  • Actively monitors new tax regulation and analyzes its implication to the company with the support from regional tax team


  • Leads and motivates the finance organization to achieve optimum performance.
  • Continually provides for hands-on training and educational programs to achieve resource development objectives
  • Actively participates in the deliberations of key business decisions, objectives, strategies and issues
  • Advises the Greater China Leadership Team in the overall management of the business and executions of individual functions, as needed

The Ideal Profile

Career Experiences Required

  • At least 10 years experience in Financial Management including 5 years of which must have been in a senior management capacity with a fully integrated company, preferably multinational
  • People skill with strong leadership in managing duties & objectives
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills at all levels
  • Advance skill in computer office applicationand sound knowledge of major financial & operation system
  • Knows Chinese Accounting GAAP and US GAAP
  • Familiar with Chinese Taxes regulation and legal requirement
  • Familiar with the Forex regulation of China
