Job Description

Position Summary:

The Project Manager will plan, execute, and control the new service development or clinical program or construction project. Must have a sound understanding of Time, Cost, Risk and Quality management through end-to-end project ownership, to ensure streamlined forward progress of projects, and deliver appropriate responsiveness and on-time delivery. You are also responsible to monitor the progress and coordinate all aspects of the project according to the timeline and schedule of the project. You will be responsible to ensure that updates and communications are shared will all stakeholders and provide notice of any risks, concerns or delays in the timeline for projects.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Coordinate new service development project workgroup meetings, document meeting minutes, collate and coordinate follow-up actions.
  2. Schedule the project with a logical project timeline, direct and monitor the progress of the project.
  3. Gather and coordinate the users, to understand & consolidate the various users' requirements to achieve optimal enhancement for patient care and flow.
  4. Prepare and submit budget estimates and project proposal for Management Committee approval.
  5. Liaise with both external parties and internal departments within Operation Services, Enterprise Service and Clinical Service to ensure project timeline adherence and quality of deliverables.
  6. Co-ordinate and complete any renovations works and/or purchase of equipment within the allocated budget and timeline.
  7. Prepare evaluation reports, progress reports and budget utilization tracking of projects.
  8. Monitor, update, and integrate operations commissioning tasks and schedules amongst workgroups; monitor milestones, risks, and issues through exception reporting.
  9. Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and in compliance with regulations.
  10. Able to interpret plans and contract terms to various users, contractors and stakeholders.
  11. Co-ordinate material/equipment selection / comparison for the project
  12. Able to resolve issues such as work procedures, complaints on constructions, and constructions issues/problems on site.
  13. Any other duties as required by the supervisor.

 

EXPERIENCES, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  1. Degree holder (business, science and engineering, and/or healthcare-related degree is a plus).
  2. Experience in Healthcare construction or Project Management (PM) background, ideally more than 5 years of PM
  3. Good interpersonal, to work with various stakeholders from conceptual design to planning to implementation to completion
  4. Attentive to details with good organizational and analytical skills.
  5. Effective communicator, across senior management, design consultants, architects, contractors and users.
  6. Good command in both written and spoken English and Mandarin.
  7. Knowledge of local healthcare regulations and medical terminology is an advantage.
  8. Computer skills: MS Office, Project (CAD and graphic/photo software is a plus)

 

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY:

  1. Good command in both written and spoken English and Mandarin.
