Position Vacant: New Business Development Manager

Reporting To: New Business Development Director

Summary of Vacant Role:

  1. Identify and follow investment opportunities and handle investment negotiations;
  2. Network and lobby with relevant authorities and business intelligence;
  3. Work together with line manager to assess investment opportunity through company DD exercise, fixed assets appraisal, market and financial analysis;
  4. Liaise and collaborate with relevant departments/units/functions for projects;
  5. Identify company-level growth opportunities and devise strategies to capture opportunities
  6. Manage portfolio of company-level strategic initiatives; lead cross-functional task forces to drive implementation
  7. Cultivate corporate capabilities and management systems; develop or innovate business models
  8. Identify and analyze emerging business opportunities, devising strategies for growth initiatives
  9. Lead collaboration with BU leadership on commercial strategies and go-to-market models

Qualifications, Characteristics Required:

  1. Bachelor's Degree from top-ranked university
  2. Overseas MBA preferred
  3. Minimum 5 years work experience; 8+ years preferred
  4. Strategic planning, business development, strategic marketing, PE/VC fund at Fortune 500 company (healthcare industry preferred) or strategy consulting experience
  5. Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving, with excellent ability to synthesize multiple perspectives into frameworks
  6. Outstanding analytical skills; e.g., developing business cases, building quantitative models
  7. Independent delivery of high-quality project outputs
  8. Fluent Business English, with outstanding business writing skills
  9. Professional proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
