Job Description

Our client is a well regarded international transportation and shipping conglomerate. As a result of continuous business expansion they are now seeking to hire a Global Key Account Manager to be part of their growing team.

Reporting to the Global Head of Key Account Management (KAM), you will be responsible for looking after global key account requirements on trade and commercial coordination. You will also provide timely information and direction to support the local sales teams to help in optimizing cargo canvassing efforts. You will also be responsible for evaluating the account's business performance and will also look at resolving disputes. You will provide assistance to prepare negotiations between the Head of KAM and the trades. You will collect information through monitoring of service level agreements and identify root causes and report it to the Head of KAM. You will also be responsible in formulating and uploading of performance targets to ensure effective delivery to the sales team. You will be responsible in providing timely update and useful statistic for account performance. You will create and maintenance of reliable and accurate data for customer profile. You will also be responsible in preparing presentation materials, performance reports including RFQ bids and tenders. You will also be involved in highlighting system and data integrity issues to the various process owners and work with them on performance management. You will regularly monitor news on key accounts in publicly available source and share it within the key account team. You will work with the Head of KAM, trades and provide support on all other related key account activities. You will be instrumental in supervising the commercial, operations and other functional team to ensure service levels are attainted and met for the selected key accounts.

Ideally, you possess a degree in business, statistics or mathematics and have at least 5 years of relevant key account management experience in the liner or 3rd party logistics industry specializing in ocean freight sales. In order to be successful in this role, you will possess strong problem solving skills and be highly analytical and be driven and focus for results. You will need to possess a positive mindset and be extremely customer centric to be successful in this role.
