Job Description

Global Technical Services Lead, Hospitality Group

Reporting to the CEO, this position will provide the strategic leadership and direction to ensure all newly built and renovated sites are designed and built to the Group's design, construction and technical standards. This will include property upkeep, efficient asset lifecycle management and compliance with all local authority's legislation. This role will also support engineering departments by giving direction to property Chief Engineers, Engineering Supervisors and Maintenance Engineers.

A large part of this role is focused on project management where you will be involved in

  • Preparation of the project brief and providing design direction, ensuring adherence to brand standards, oversee external architecture, design and engineering consultant teams to develop the schematic design through to the working drawings
  • Pre-qualify/prepare RFP's for consultants and subcons required for the project
  • Lead project scheduling and resources management
  • Manage the design process using commercial, contractual, programme/time awareness and technical expertise
  • Ensure the design process recognises current legislation, standards and code of practice
  • Oversee all disciplines including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Structure, Landscape and Architecture for drawings and submittals
  • Supervise Project Managers to oversee contractors and subcontractor work on site

The ideal candidate will have

  • University degree in Architecture, or Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
  • Over 10 years' experience in a similar role with a luxury hospitality environment, with strong familiarity with all phases and aspects of the project management process
  • Specialised in construction and project management of hospitality and high-end residences
  • Strong hotel project planning and technical services background, ideally gained with prominent hotel owners
  • Effective project management skills, including budget planning and cost control
  • Strong work ethics and reputation for performance, based on best practices outcomes and realistic expectations of economic returns
  • Ability to develop strategies and focus on enhancing performance of consultant and contractors
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and time sensitive environment
  • Based in Singapore and willing to travel extensively
