Global Supply Chain Director, top leading healthcare company
Report to: Global Supply Chain Senior Director
Location: Chengdu/Shanghai
Responsibility:
- Develops and delivers a fully integrated AP Supply Chain Strategy which supports the Asia Pacific Strategic Plan and Business Goals
- Work with global team members, as well as other regional leaders in Global Supply Chain , to ensure that process consistency is being followed and that we are able to best leverage our global scale.
- Some key areas which you will lead your team to support:
- Will build a manufacturing facility in 2018. Be responsible for building a team to support manufacturing operations. Scope includes Material Planning, Buying, Warehouse, Customs, and Fulfillment
- Supports many local countries, many of which have complex logistical challenges. Will need to work closely to develop and implement best solutions to entering new markets and maintain good product flow into/out of country
- Work with global category teams on sourcing strategy. However, there are many areas where we will need regional suppliers and sources. Your team will need to work with local and global business partners to ensure that our solutions meet regional business priorities
- Supports the overall purchasing process
- Support fact-based decision making by building an analytical capability. Additionally, support global planning of commercial and functional needs to ensure proper sources of supply
- Recruit, hire, and train Supply Chain professionals into this newly forming group to support key areas of the business
- Work closely with Commercial, Operations, and Functional leaders to develop and implement best-fit solutions for the region. Always soliciting feedback to ensure that solutions match business needs
Requirement:
- He/she must have more than 10 years in a Supply Chain leadership role
- Demonstrated experience in multiple Supply Chain management functions, including Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Management, Logistics, Procurement, Planning or Strategy
- Experience in a manufacturing environment required
- Logistics experience required; Trade Compliance and/or Customs Brokerage a large plus
- Requires In-country experience in Asia Pacific region
- Medical Devices, Manufacturing, High Tech, 3PL/Freight Forwarder, or Management Consulting industry experience a plus
- Strong program and project management skills
- Strong process improvement /continuous improvement skills
- Strong people leadership skills, experience managing direct reports a requirement, experience managing in a matrixed organization a strong plus
- Highly organized, can take ambiguous situations and make sense out of them for others
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong Change Management and Influencing skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English
