Job Description

Core Mission

Develop and implement, in close cooperation with Global Medical Affairs, medical and scientific programs that create educational value for our customers. He/She will also enhance the relationships with China key scientific leaders and academic societies involved in Dermatology and Aesthetics & Corrective and supervise the execution of high-quality training programs for healthcare professionals. Furthermore, He/She will ensure Medical Affairs play a key role in support of our Compliance initiatives as we strengthen our Internal Controls.

 

Work Environment & Key Data

  • Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Regulatory Affairs and with Medical Affairs at Corporate, and if applicable, Regional Medical Director.
  • External work will focus on relation with KOLs including dermatologists, professional healthcare providers, and health authorities.
  • Medical and scientific input to products and activities (marketing tools, training, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, etc).

 

Profile Requirements

Technical Skills:

Education/Training:

- MD, ideally Dermatologist with, if possible, experience in pharmaceutical industry

Required pre-requisites skills/experience for this position:

- Good communication skills, good English

- Ideally knowledge in clinical trials, marketing

- Good communication, able to work in international environment

- Open, ready for further training in clinical trials and marketing

Duties and Responsibilities

Clinical Expertise

  • Profound knowledge in dermatology (pathogenesis, clinical aspects, treatment) and in clinical studies methodology
  • Good knowledge of company's competitors' products
  • Medical input to local promotional efforts
  • Medical responsibility for Pharmacovigilance
  • Implementation of risk management plans
  • Represent the company with health authorities
  • Package insert review and approval for new products
  • Input in plans, design of local clinical studies, contact with CRO, discussion with investigators, meetings for clinical studies and medical supervision of the studies
  • Analysis and exploitation of study results
  • Identification of pertinent local studies to support product and key messages
  • Review and approval of manuscripts / publications / posters for the country

 

Relationship with physicians, KOLs

  • Supervise the execution of high-quality training programs for healthcare professionals
  • Knowledge and relationship with opinion leaders in the country
  • Medical / scientific responsibility for symposia / scientific meetings
  • Argue on product quality and convince the medical community
  • Develop projects with the doctors and hospital staff
  • Manage scientific projects in collaboration with physicians, including ITT
  • Develop and argue the project budget

 

Medical training

  • Medical review and approval of marketing material and documents
  • Exploitation of scientific information to feed communication (symposia)
  • Preparation and update of educational material for Marketing or sales team
  • Preparation and update of educational material for dermatologists, eventually GPs and other health care providers
  • Edit / draft reports and promotional documents

 

Medical leadership

  • If appropriate, provide a planning and leadership to the country Medical Department
  • Closely interact with Medical Affairs Corporate and Regional Medical Director (if applicable) for synergy and to avoid duplicates
