Director of Retail Operational Excellence (FMCG/ Retail)

Our client has a well-known brand name and a market leader in their space. They are in the FMCG / retail sector and have been experiencing good growth.

Due to continuing business needs, they are now looking to hire a dynamic leader as Director of Retail Operational Excellence.

This role will manage a sizeable team and will be responsible for driving initiatives on process improvements, business process excellence and improvement in service quality. You will lead initiatives to assess current operational processes and drive improvements and also introduce tools that can help in increasing operational efficiencies. You will also drive initiatives to improve the customer experience journey.

You will act as a change agent to instil business excellence culture across the organization so as to deliver operational improvement, better customer experience and positive financial benefits.

This is a senior leadership role with high visibility. The position will also have engagement with all facets of the business.

Ideally, you are degree qualified and possess an MBA, with extensive experience in process improvement. Strong project and change management experience are critical for the success of this role. You have experience in managing large teams. Good experience in the consumer/retail sector will be highly advantageous. You are self-motivated and highly energetic. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are critical in this role. You possess the gravitas to liaise with senior management.
