Our client is a global player in the Life Sciences industry seeking for Clinical Sales Specialist to be part of their newly formed genetic testing division to expand their footprint into emerging respiratory and infectious disease markets across a broad range of customer segments.
You will develop and manage an annual Territory Plan and quarterly business plans to meet or exceed financial goals to be shared across organization's selling matrix. You will utilize product and application knowledge across the genetic analysis portfolio to successfully apply consultative and strategic selling presentations. You will coordinate technical automated solutions through to implementation. You understand customer goals, priorities and challenges to provide solutions best positioned to address clinical customer needs. You focus on high growth areas and markets, key applications to drive open array-based projects into new emerging markets.
You will consistently and accurately manage sales process including sales forecasting, pipeline management and sales tracking through the use of SFDC and other designated IT tools. Regularly utilize analytics tools and CRM's to manage funnel, drive territory success and achieve the plan. You will also assess sales team training needs and provide market feedback and product development input to internal business partners. Last but not least, you will act as both sales plus a technical resource for the customers across the territory as well as across the highly matrixed sales organization.
Ideally, you have more than 5 years of sales experience in Life Sciences or similar Field Application Support. You possess a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field; or the equivalent knowledge and experience. A Master's or PhD degree is desirable.
You must have scientific consulting acumen and demonstrate extensive knowledge of qPCR technologies and applications including an understanding of gene expression and genotyping workflows. Working knowledge of next-generation sequencing and microarrays and an understanding of various commercial models to enable clinical solution implementation highly preferred. Familiarity with automation and high throughput workflows implantation will be important to accelerate the adoption of the solutions.
You should be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of selling into CLIA & Regulated laboratories in addition to Reference Labs and Hospitals operating in research environments. You are able to accurately cost projects and speak to workflow advantages to create ROI with the customers and sales colleagues. You have accomplished sales skills and can speak to competitive technologies, demonstrate value as a supporting partner in the pre-sales process, while also independently driving sales throughout all stages of the sales process. Minimum 50% travel.
You are highly motivated and independent and result-oriented. You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. You are able to work within cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed sales organization and ability to work under tremendous pressures.
