Job description

Our client is a global medical device leader. They have been experiencing good growth in recent years and are currently looking to hire a Sales Executive. This is a new role reporting to the Country Manager.

This role will drive sales for their consumable business across healthcare facilities. He/she will build relationships, uncover customers' needs, and develop meaningful and valuable solutions. In addition, the position will work closely with the Country Manager to develop and manage the tender process structure to streamline responses for accurate, consistent, efficient and timely submission.

  • Achieve revenue and gross margin objectives for Consumables business.
  • Establish routine call patterns for contacting existing and prospective Customers by telephone and other means to generate sales for all healthcare products and services to achieve revenue objectives and metrics set by management.
  • Probe to uncover and understand Customer needs, objectives and goals fully and effectively match the products, services and technologies to assist in solving Customer issues.
  • Effectively communicates the strengths and competitive advantages of the products, services and technologies and how the application of these can assist the Customer in meeting their objectives.
  • Travel to assigned territories if the opportunity yields a high ROI and meets the needs of the business.
  • Responsible for product trials, often in conjunction with Field Sales counterparts, if Customer requests a sales representative on-site or needs in-servicing.
  • Submit and execute an accurate sales forecast on a weekly or bi-weekly basis accompanied by feedback to sales management to support projections.
  • Work closely with the customer service team, clinical application specialist, sales managers and other relevant stakeholders to ensure consumables products are quoted, delivered, and demonstrated correctly and on schedule with no margin erosion and aim at securing yearly consumables blanket orders.
  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders to provide Tender and Sales Admin support.
  • Source for Tender Opportunities and alert respective Sales Team for any tender opening twice weekly.
  • Develop the tender process structure to streamline our responses for accurate, consistent, efficient and timely submission.
  • Prepare quotations and work with stakeholders to consolidate Tender submissions consistent with all established guidelines for healthcare facilities or Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) members.

Ideally, he/she is degree qualified with 6 years of work experience with 2 years of sales exposure to the healthcare sector. He/she has strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build customer relationships with healthcare professionals. A positive and commercial mindset is critical for the role's success.
