Profile was delighted to have guest speaker, Gene Johnson, present on the topic of 'Assessing Learning Agility to Predict High Potential' at our HR Breakfast Seminar, held at the China Club in Hong Kong on Tuesday, 14th March 2017. Based in the UK, Gene is an Organisational Psychologist who runs his own Talent and Leadership consultancy firm, Working Matters.
Gene presented the latest research on this topic, and discussed how learning agility is used as a predictor of HiPo talent, how it has evolved and where it is going. He also shared the most common models to determine HiPo's and highlighted the potential issues.
Attendees enjoyed the interactive element, which enabled them to pose questions throughout the presentation. They also took advantage of the networking opportunity before the presentation began.

ABOUT GENE JOHNSON
Gene has worked in consultancy, academia, and the corporate world. He has led talent management functions for Dell EMEA, Rackspace Hosting, and Getinge Group. He was a lecturer in the University of Auckland’s business school in HR and Organisational Psychology, and now specialises in talent, leadership development, and performance management for his own consultancy, Working Matters.
